The Comparison between Green-Tech Evacuated Tube Solar Collectors Over The Standard Solar Collectors

Green-tech evacuated tube solar collector consists of two glass tubes one in the other. Due to the vacuum between two tubes, the loss of heat is minimum. The outer tube is resistant to any weather conditions. The inner tube is made of a special transparent and durable glass and its surface is coated with a special selective coating. Due to this selective coating (AL2O3) 93% of the sunshine can be absorbed and turned into heat. The reflection of sunshine is minimized.
Due to the vacuum system, the loss of heat is minimum during conduction and convection. Vacuum system prevents the loss of heat, which can be caused by weather conditions such as cold, rain, snow and wind. Therefore, the system can be used all year long. Old models of collectors don’t have vacuum system, so the loss of heat is very high. This makes them inefficient and prevents their usage all year around.
The old models of collectors need antifreeze because of the risk of freezing. However, under (zero) degrees, these systems cannot work efficiently. Green-tech evacuated tube solar collector is made of stainless steel (chrome-nickel) so that the hot water is drinkable.
As a result of the material used, problems such as rust, calcification and obstruction may occur in the old models of collectors. Besides, the hot water produced by those models is not drinkable. In our system, polyurethane (50 mm thick) is used for the isolation of the hot water tank, because of its low heat conduction coefficient. So the heated water in the tank could be kept hot for a long time.
In the old models, generally fiberglass which has a lower capacity of heat prevention than polyurethane is used for isolation of the hot water tank. Cylindrical vacuum tubes can take sunshine vertical all day long and by the help of its special coating, reflection is minimized. Due to this specialty of our system, temperature of the hot water can reach up to 95 c ° in summer and 55 c ° in winter. The old models can take sunshine vertical only in the mid-day so temperature remains lower in those systems.
